KBMO Diagnostics

Knowledge Based Medicinal Organisation (KBMO)

TEST BACKGROUND

The Food Inflammation Test (FIT) by KBMO measures both IgG(1-4) and Complement (C3d) – putting them together to make it easy to understand. Food sensitivities and related diseases affect a lot of people worldwide, causing different illnesses like skin rashes and headaches, or chronic intestinal problems. Food sensitivities can happen for many reasons, like not eating balanced meals, lacking certain enzymes, feeling stressed, having genes that make you more likely to have allergies, getting infections or inflammations, or being exposed to chemicals, drugs, pollution, or toxins. Studies have shown that these things can weaken our digestion and the defenses in our gut, making it easier for allergens to bother our overworked immune system.

CLINICAL VALUE

Why IgG + C3d Are Important?
When you have a reaction to a food with IgG antibodies, it's not immediate – it can take hours or even days to notice. Research has shown that having IgG antibodies to certain foods in your blood can lead to inflammation in your body. Testing for Complement (C3d) is a direct way to measure inflammation in the body, so it's really important for any food inflammation test.
When Complement gets activated along with high levels of IgG antibodies, it's clear which foods your patient should cut out of their diet. Often, we find that patients have high IgG antibodies to many foods. Knowing which ones are causing inflammation helps avoid cutting out too many foods, which can make patients feel better about their treatment.
